Thunder rumbled. Lightning and laser shots lit up the sky. People screamed. People, evil people, laughed. Janelle shrieked.

"YOU SAID YOU NEVER WOULD! AND THEN YOU DID!"

It was an accusation. His silence, amid all the noise, was affirmation.
